What is Rheumatology?
Many patients who are referred to a rheumatologist for treatment of conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, or osteoporosis have never heard of rheumatology before.
Our specialty focuses primarily on diseases of the joints, muscles, and ligaments (also known as rheumatic diseases). It also helps to define and understand the mysteries of diseases of the immune system.
