AMICUS FOCUSES ON THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF RHEUMATOLOGY PATIENTS
Amicus Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center (AAOC) is an independent rheumatology practice bringing patient-centered, innovative, compassionate rheumatological care to patients in the Southeast Los Angeles area.
Rheumatology is one of the most dynamic fields in medicine. New and better treatments regularly emerge to treat painful and degenerative conditions of joints, muscles, and ligaments. Our passion is to tap into these innovations, along with time-tested therapies, to help our patients live better lives, with less pain, disruption, and incapacitation from diseases like arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, and osteoporosis.
Alongside our goal of offering the most effective treatment options, our practice strives to always be a warm and compassionate place for our patients. The meaning of our practice name, “Amicus,” derives from the Latin word for “friend.” It reflects the spirit of amiability and kindness we aim to achieve for our patients as well as our co-workers.
